About Us
Steamworks Meadery has been owned and operated by Peter “Drea” Paulsen since January of 2019. He has been making mead for 5 years, turning his hobby into a profession. His craft brings a modern feel to a medieval drink, bringing one of the oldest alcohols to the mainstream.
This honey-based beverage is enjoyed by cider and wine lovers alike, Steamwork’s being dryer than most ciders and sweeter than most wines. It falls beautifully between the two and is unique in its own. This drink of the Vikings has no sulfites or added sugars and is made with local ingredients when available. Our tasting room has a view of the brewing process as well as seating enough for 20 patrons. When visiting, feel free to enjoy one of the many provided board games while you sip!
Steamworks Meadery has been increasingly involved in local festivals as well as pairings with local businesses (such as the Oregon Cheese Cave). You can also find our mead at the following Jackson County locations: Harry and David, Medford Food Co-op, Oregon Cheese Cave, and Ravenswood Leather.
